Edmund William Barker DUNU (First Class) SPMJ (1 December 1920 – 12 April 2001, often referred to as "Edmund W. Barker", "E. W. Barker" or "Eddie Barker"), was a politician and lawyer from Singapore. A member of the People's Action Party (PAP), he served in the Cabinet from 1964 to 1988. Barker was educated at Serangoon English School and Raffles Institution, before going on to Raffles College (a predecessor institution of the present-day National University of Singapore) in 1940.

James Nelson Barker (June 17, 1784 – March 9, 1858) was an American soldier, playwright, and politician. He rose to the rank of Major in the Army during the War of 1812, wrote ten plays, and served as mayor of Philadelphia. Barker was born on June 17, 1784, in Philadelphia. He was the fourth son of John Barker, and Mary Nelson, who were married on July 13, 1769. His education was limited, for though he attended local schools, he spent more time reading books than studying.

Florence Barker (November 22, 1891 – February 15, 1913) was an American stage and silent film actress from Los Angeles. She began in amateur theatre in her early teens and by the age of eighteen was playing lead roles at the Grand Theatre in Los Angeles. At around this time she started acting in motion pictures and would go on to appear in at least sixty-three film productions before dying of pneumonia in Los Angeles at the age of twenty-one.
