Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - The London Symphony Orchestra, Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt - Symphony No. 41 "Jupiter" - Symphony No. 39 download album

Symphony No. 41 In C Major "Jupiter" · C-Dur · En Ut Majeur. A1. I Allegro Vivace. Composed By – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Conductor – Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt. Orchestra – The London Symphony Orchestra.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart completed his Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551, on 10 August 1788. The longest and last symphony that he composed, it is regarded by many critics as among the greatest symphonies in classical music. The work is nicknamed the Jupiter Symphony. This name stems not from Mozart but rather was likely coined by the impresario Johann Peter Salomon. The symphony is scored for flute, two oboes, two bassoons, two horns in C, two trumpets in C, timpani in C and G, and strings.

The London Symphony Orchestra Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt - conductor. The Jupiter is well played but could used more heat and power. I would love both to be endisced. The Symphony No. 41 aptly embodies what is now identified as a paradigm of Classical symphonic form: four movements, the first and last in a quick tempo, the second slower, the third a minuet with trio.

For Symphony Orchestra. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's last symphony, the "Jupiter" Symphony, is widely regarded as one of his greatest. Though the first three movements are all magnificent in their own ways, the coda of the last movement is the symphony's claim to fame, in which an expertly crafted five voice fugato emerges. I. Allegro vivace II. Andante cantabile (M. 314) III. Menuetto: Allegretto (M. 415) IV. Molto Allegro (M. 502). Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

The Jupiter Symphony is regarded as a milestone not only in Mozart’s symphonic output but, on a more general level, in the development of the Classical symphony.
